A Kane County Farm Bureau Foundation community service program, HARVEST FOR ALL provides an avenue to contribute to local hunger relief efforts. 100% of the crop, cash and in-kind contributions to HARVEST FOR ALL are directed to local food pantries of the donor’s choosing.
Last year, Illinois Farmers contributed over 4.8 million pounds of food to similar efforts through their local Farm Bureaus. In Kane County, more than 40 local donors to HARVEST FOR ALL contributed over $13,000 in crop proceeds, cash, and in-kind donations.
And we want to continue that success…
HARVEST FOR ALL encourages local farmers, Farm Bureau members and consumers to support hunger relief efforts. Through HARVEST FOR ALL, local farmers are being asked to donate a portion of their harvest to benefit a local food pantry.
But everyone can play a part…
How?
- Make a tax deductible monetary donation
- Donate an acre, or bushels, of the proceeds from your harvest.
- Designate fields that can be gleaned after the harvest, or excess from your farmers market stand.
- Volunteer your time or community group to glean crops from local farm fields, or glean excess produce from area farmers markets.
Call Kane County Farm Bureau at 630-584-8660 with questions or to sign up to join the effort.
